A Monroe County man stalked a prostitute for months, claiming she owed him time for a past sex date that did not last as long as he had paid for, detectives with the Monroe County district attorney’s office allege.

Frank Marks, 57, of Kunkletown, was charged Wednesday with patronizing a prostitute and stalking and was sent to Monroe County jail under $5,000 bail.

Court records allege:

Marks answered the prostitute’s online ad in February and contacted her, but was turned down. A few days later, he sought her out at a Middle Smithfield Township hotel and paid her for sex.

After the encounter, Marks then began contacting her, telling her she owed him more time. She refused and tried to avoid him.

Marks kept leaving her phone and text messages, telling her police were watching her. He told her he was friends with police and offered her pictures, phone numbers and physical descriptions of undercover officers watching her if she would give him oral sex in return.

Marks continued trying to contact her until May, when she was arrested and identified him to detectives.

Marks was arrested previously for patronizing prostitutes, once in 2012 and again in 2017.
